Every story begins with a dream.
Planted deep in the heart of someone striving to make it come true. Behind every dream is a vision.
And every vision starts with the first step.
What becomes of it, only time will tell.
„What if …“ – was the question asked backed in the 60s.
Running the traditional inn “Grüner Baum” was enjoyable, but not quite the dream that Walter Feichter and his wife Olga had in mind.
From unspoken questions grew the desire for something bigger.
Eventually, courage took over – a hotel was built, opening in the early 1970s. A 3-star property, with a swimming pool and excellent cuisine, attracting many guests.
In fulfilling the desire for more comfort, a wide range of amenities were introduced. By the 1990s, the village of Riscone gained worldwide recognition. The Majestic went on to become a popular destination for guests from across the globe, including some famous faces from the world of showbiz. More extensive renovations followed, and the second generation stepped in: daughters Gaby and Martina joined the team. Right next door, another highlight emerged: Cron4, a sports and wellness paradise with a 9-hole golf course, tennis courts, and sports facilities for competitions and football matches.
Leaving us too soon, Walter embarked on another eternal journey. Yet, his spirit, his work, and his love remain in every corner of the house. Years later, his daughter Martina followed him after a long and difficult illness. Both are no doubt watching over us from above. The third generation of the Feichter family – Rudi, Romy, Ruth, and Robert – took the helm alongside their mother Gaby. Each of the children fulfils their dreams, following the example of their family.
With new projects, the birth of new dreams, and the realisation of new ideas, the cycle continues. And soon, the fourth generation will take over.
Ready for the next 50 years.
They shaped the Majestic, and through their creativity, knowledge, and courage, made it what it is today. A part of them lives on in every corner of our house, and we carry their memory in our hearts forever.
